This course will review data and polling trends on recent elections, current issues that impact election outcomes, and New Hampshire’s impact (or lack thereof) on recent presidential elections. Students will learn about the state’s place of privilege in the presidential selection process, why it matters, and what it means going forward for national elections. You’ll get an enhanced understanding of grassroots politics, the importance of civic engagement, and how the national narrative impacts us locally and vice versa.
