Classes and Workshops
For more than 25 years, the Loeb School has offered high-quality classes and workshops in person and online that are free or at low cost for individuals and organizations.
Our instructors are highly valued professionals, including print, radio, photo, and TV journalists, lawyers skilled in First Amendment law, marketing and public relations experts, writers, educators, and digital pros who are well-versed in the latest tools and technology.

Civic Documenters (CivDocs)
The Loeb School, Granite State News Collaborative, and the New England First Amendment Coalition (NEFAC) launched Civic Documenters, known as CivDocs, in 2023 to address the decline in local news coverage.
This community journalism program aims to demystify local government, educate about open meeting and public record laws, and equip New Hampshire residents with the skills necessary to effectively document local government proceedings. Individuals who apply for and are accepted into the program go through six weeks of training and then work with local news editors to receive assignments and contribute to local news stories.

Trainings
The Loeb School also offers fee-based private training opportunities for businesses and nonprofits on topics such as marketing, community relations, internal communications, public speaking, crisis communications, and the First Amendment. We coordinate the topic, instructor, training materials, and instruction design.
